Here at The Feminist Therapy Centre we believe that many of us have been sold the lie that our emotions make us somehow bad, mad or sad. For women, we have been taught that to be angry is unacceptable. For men, they are often taught to disconnect from all emotions, bar anger! But our emotions are what make us human! They help us connect to ourselves and our needs/wants AND they help us to connect with others. And we know that having deep meaningful connection to ourselves and others, is actually what helps us live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

So if you feel overwhelmed by the pressure to stay calm and composed, or find yourself criticizing your emotional responses or struggling to prioritize emotional self-care in your busy life, you’re not alone, and we’re here to help.

A 30-day live, guided experience led by Dr. Bekah – combining somatic and feminist therapy principles to help you understand your nervous system, regulate emotions with compassion, and build rituals that actually stick.

What is Dysregulation Costing You?

Dysregulation can manifest in many ways—whether you feel activated (anger, worry, frustration) and lash out at loved ones, or feel immobilized (sadness, numbness, lack of motivation) and find yourself people-pleasing or unable to express your true self.

While dysregulation is your body’s way of protecting you, chronic dysregulation can have significant costs:

  • Constant Exhaustion: Feeling on edge or drained all the time.

  • Loss of Confidence: Struggling to feel agency or alignment in your own life.

  • Disconnected Relationships: Suffering strained connections with your children, partner, or friends.

  • Chronic feelings of guilt, shame or stuckness: Feeling as though you are bad for having angry or anxious emotions but not knowing how to break the cycle

No constantly snapping at your kids, crying in secret (now we’re gonna welcome those tears!), or feeling guilty for needing space. You’ll learn how to sit with your emotions – and actually feel calmer and more confident in managing (listening to, and tending to) your emotions with compassion and understanding for yourself. This newfound awareness will empower you to forge deeper, more connected relationships with your children and loved ones, allowing you to be present and engaged in a way that aligns with your values.

  • Daily Bitesize Knowledge: Engage with 5-10 minute videos that introduce each day’s topic, setting the stage for deeper understanding.

  • Live Embodied Practice: Join Dr. Bekah for daily live sessions from 12:10-12:30 PM, Weekdays, starting Monday 9th June through Friday 18th July 2025 (Weekends there will be no live practice so that you can take some time to integrate everything you’ve learned during the week). Can't attend live? No worries! Recordings will be available, but we encourage you to commit to daily weekday practice (even if its on catch up) during the 30 days.
